Motel furniture is constructed
of 3/4" Meleface material with 1-sided or 2-sided finish as needed.
Meleface is thermal fused particle board with a hard surface finish
next to a laminate finish. All tops are done in high pressure laminate
to match existing sidewalls, which makes them highly scratch resistant.
1 1/2" pocketscrews
and glue are used to construct all cabinets: no staples or nails. The
cabinets have 3/4" x 1 1/2" oak face frames with rounded edges.
Dakota Woodworking, Inc. finishes all it's products in a post catalyzed,
high solids, high performance amino alkyd. This offers exceptional
resistance to water, household chemicals, and wear. When used over
our high performance stains we produce outstanding depth clarity and
aesthetics in our finishes. All face frames are glued and
hand clamped, thus making the bonding secure, and the edges even and
consistent. Cabinet bottoms which will be exposed to any kind of moisture,
such as carpet shampoo or spilled liquids, are banded to protect from
swelling. Drawers feature 1/4" bottoms grooved into the sides.
Drawer slides are 14" KV #1286 with ball bearings and are virtually
maintenance free.
Our shop consists of all
up to date and well maintained machinery and is well equipped to complete
the average 45-50 room motel in approximately 3-4 weeks. When shipped,
furniture is wrapped in blankets or foam, therefore no cartons need
to be opened or disposed of during unloading.
